Our latest urban landscape project involved transforming a compact 15-square-meter concrete backyard into a lush, functional city oasis. Faced with limited sunlight and high walls, we focused on vertical interest and layered textures.
Design Concept
The design features a bespoke cedar wood trellis for climbing jasmine, providing both fragrance and privacy. We utilized modular weathered steel planters to create varying heights, filled with shade-tolerant species like Japanese Forest Grass and Hellebores.
A small, recirculating stone water feature was placed in the corner to mask city noise, creating a peaceful retreat for the homeowners. This project proves that even the smallest urban footprint can become a thriving green sanctuary.
